Work-From-Home Back Pain? Here’s How to Set Up a Chiropractor-Approved Desk
Experiencing Work-From-Home Back Pain? Working remotely offers scheduling and lifestyle flexibility—but home setups are often improvised. Over time, a poorly arranged workstation can contribute to back and neck discomfort.
Ergonomic Checklist
- Screen at eye level; avoid looking down at a laptop
- Chair that supports your lower back (add a pillow if needed)
- Elbows near 90 degrees; wrists neutral on the keyboard
- Feet flat on the floor or supported on a footrest
Movement Snacks
Set a timer for quick mobility breaks: shoulder rolls, thoracic twists, and hip openers. Even 2–3 minutes per hour helps.
When to Get Help
If pain persists despite changes, an assessment can pinpoint limitations and guide a plan. As Dr. Gracinda Ramos notes, small ergonomic tweaks plus targeted care can produce big improvements.
